Alright, thanks to pressure from Tiffany and the rest of you, I have decided to go ahead and blog about my trip:> Somebody better DVR the Giants game 3 tomorrow against the Cards. After our big win yesterday, we have the momentum! Matt Cain better be on!
If you haven't guessed by my ramblings, I have no idea what to write here.
Anyway, my first post will be boring as we leave for the airport in a few hours. We got in late last night and used a free shuttle to get to our hotel, we stayed right near the JFK airport in the Sheraton Hotel. Free wireless and breakfast, not bad. We haven't done much today since we are leaving for London at 9:50 on British Airways flight BA0114, it is a 747. We are supposed to arrive at 9:35 in the morning (it will be Wednesday the 17th there). After that, Professor Weber has arranged for someone to drive us to the dig site. I guess it is south of Birmingham and will take about three hours, but he is being pretty funny about the whole thing (not the ha ha kind of funny!).
I wasn't going to go at all, but since he states the site has already had a grid and been dug down to the point a few pot sherds have been found, I figure I can't go wrong with this as a post doc project!
Talk to everyone later, after we get settled (click on Hunter in England for future posts)!
